Terms of Use

PropCave is an online platform designed to facilitate the collection and publication of information relating to land and property disputes, litigation records, and related documentation in Nigeria. The platform is owned by Property Caveat Limited registered under the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.  The Platform allows users to submit and access information including:

  • Property identification details
  • Court case information
  • Names of parties involved in disputes
  • Legal documents and court records
  • Supporting documentation relating to property litigation  

The purpose of the Platform is to improve transparency and awareness regarding property disputes.

To use the Platform, you must:

•Be at least 18 years old, and
•Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements under Nigerian law.  

By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

Users may submit information relating to property litigation including:

•Property description and location
•Survey plan or title documentation
•Suit numbers and court information
•Names of parties to litigation
•Legal documents such as writs, court rulings, judgments, or notices of appeal  

Users may also, in certain cases, be required to provide verification details, such as:
•Name
•Email address  
•Phone number
•Capacity (e.g., lawyer, party to the case, researcher, or member of the public)  

By submitting information, you represent that:

1.The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
2.You have the right or authority to upload the documents.
3.The content does not violate any law or court order.

Before submitting information, users must confirm that: “The information and documents uploaded are accurate to the best of my knowledge and are not intended to mislead.” Providing false or misleading information may result in:
 •Removal of content
 •Possible legal action where applicable.

Users agree not to upload or publish content that:
•Is false, misleading, or fraudulent
•Violates court confidentiality rules
•Violates the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) or any applicable privacy law
•Infringes the intellectual property rights of others
•Defames, harasses, or harms any person or entity
•Contains malicious or unlawful material.

Users are solely responsible for the content they upload.

While we may implement verification mechanisms, we:
•Do not guarantee the accuracy of information submitted by users.
•Do not verify every document uploaded.
•Are not responsible for errors, omissions, or misleading content uploaded by users.

Users should independently verify information before relying on it for legal, financial, or property decisions.

•Does not provide legal advice
•Is not a law firm
•Does not represent any party in litigation  

Information available on the Platform is for informational purposes only. Users seeking legal advice should consult a qualified legal practitioner.

All intellectual property rights in the Platform, including:
•Website design
•Software
•Databases
•Content created by the Platform are owned by or licensed to PropCave.  

Users may not:
•Reproduce
•Copy
•Scrape
•Commercially exploit any part of the Platform without written permission.

PropCave reserves the right to:
•Review uploaded content
•Remove content that violates these Terms
•Suspend or terminate user accounts
•Request additional verification for submissions.

We are not obligated to monitor all content.

To the fullest extent permitted under Nigerian law: PropCave shall not be liable for:
•Inaccurate information uploaded by users
•Loss arising from reliance on information on the Platform
•Damages resulting from use of the Platform
•Loss of data or interruption of service. Users access the Platform at their own risk.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PropCave, its owners, employees, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, or legal expenses arising from: •Your use of the Platform
•Your uploaded content
•Your violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if:
•You violate these Terms
•You upload false or illegal content
•Your use poses risk to the Platform or other users.

PropCave reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on the website. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
